The AGO device enables the surgeon to pressurize the aortic graft at the end of step 3 within minutes, allowing to check the function of the aortic valve and the presence of blood leakages. This allows the surgeon to make several improvement attempts before proceeding to the next steps, increasing the percentage of ascending aortic valve replacements that end without aortic valve replacement (Valve Sparing procedures), thus reducing costs for the national health care system and increasing patients’ quality of life.
